This program commences May 26 and finishes June 11. Participants will be offered six sessions over a three week period. The sessions will run every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 pm and are 60 minutes long; if for some reason you are unable to attend a session, talk with your instructor or email us; we will do our best to assist you in making up the time lost. After your session, enjoy a beverage and watch other members play. The cost for adults to participate is $50 ($40 for youth). Upon conclusion of the program, if you wish to become a regular member, $40 will be deducted from your New Member membership; should youths wish to continue, there is no further cost to the youth.
LEAGUES
Our 2026 season runs from May 11 (weather permitting) through to mid-September. The schedule for the summer of 2026 is:
Mondays: 4-3-2-1 format
Tuesdays: Jitney
Wednesday: Doubles League
Thursdays: Jitney
The 4-3-2-1 format is a fun and engaging style of play that rewards precision. Individuals compete against other individuals; each player throws four bowls. After all the bowls have been played, the bowl closest to the Jack scores 4 points, the next scores 3 points, the next two points and the next one point. The maximum amount of points that can be accrued by any one individual in one end of play is 10 points. The individual with the most points upon completion of a game (usually 8 ends) is the victor.
In a Jitney, our most popular format, teams are randomly made up from the individuals who show up for the game. In a Jitney, you play with different people each time and are assigned different positions; the game is casual. One 12-end game is played each evening.
For the Doubles League, individuals sign up as a pair in that league and compete against other pairs.
