WEDNESDAY NIGHT OPEN PAIRS LEAGUE

Members sign up as a team of two to play in this League.  If you forgot to express your interest in playing in this league upon registration, please visit your Login > Membership Account and update it.

A round-robin will be created once we have an idea of how many teams are participating.  The start date and schedule will be posted below.   Number of round-robins played is dependent on the number of teams registered.  Number of ends played per game is at the di  scretion of the League Convenor.

A $TBD/person league fee is payable to the Convenor no later than the start of the first game.  This fee covers the $2/night normally collected every time one would come out to play.

RULES

GENERAL

  • Goods sportsmanship, courtesy, fair play and enjoyment of the game is paramount
  • Players are responsible for setting up their own rink with mats & jacks
  • The 12-end game is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm
  • If the score is even after 12-ends of play, the game is declared a tie
  • If games are cancelled due to inclement weather, teams must reschedule

SCORING

  • The winning skip is responsible for logging the game results on the master score sheet in the Clubhouse.  Please enter W for a win, L for a loss, and T for a tie.  If the win/loss is a result of a default, please use WD and LD respectively.
  • 3 points are awarded for a win, 2 points for a tie, and 1 point for a loss.  If the loss is a result of a default, no points are awarded.

RESCHEDULING

  • If a player cannot attend a game, one spare is permitted.
  • Please contact a person on the spare list first; if no one from that list is available then please reach out to others
  • The spare must play the position of the player being replaced
  • If a team cannot play, the game may be rescheduled.  The skip of the team that requires the game to be rescheduled must consult with their opposition to set the date and time.  If the game cannot be rescheduled then a default win/loss is taken.  It is considered good sportsmanship to play the rescheduled game yet it is understood that sometimes time-constraints prohibit the game from being played.
